Educator's Workshop

Each One Know One

RAP customizes workshops to fit the needs of each company, organization, or institution. We professionally facilitate workshops in an environment that everyone feels safe to speak and express their true thoughts and feelings. Our workshops are designed to break down the barriers that have built the systemic institutions of racism, brutality, and injustice that have existed over four hundred years in America. Some of our topics include Equal or Equity, Racism, Sexism, Homophobia and other prejudices that people may harbor. Some of our target audiences include Judges, Lawyers, Principals, Teachers, Law Enforcement, Doctors, Nurses, Financial Institutions, CEO’s, Students and Politicians, and all others who have a significant effect on the lives of People of Color.
For children of color, schools are the institutions where many begin their experiences of racism and degradation. These kinds of workshops are crucial and should be mandatory for all educators from the principal to the maintenance worker. Schools require everyone working in the school around children to have a background check; they need to also require an empathy check through our type of workshop. If a principal or teacher is of the mindset that their children are just fine, that they are treating all of their students equally; then they should be at the front of the line signing up for our workshop for educators. The educator's workshop should be an annual requirement for all school personnel.
There was a time when children were able to write to pen pals anywhere in the world. Unfortunately, the world is no longer a part of our schools' geography or social studies programs. Each one know one (EOKO) is designed for both children and adults. EOKO will facilitate connecting all people who are different in some way. It provides the opportunity to learn about another person's culture first hand and begin to break down the biases that now exist If you have taken the "Are you a racist" test and answered Yes to any of the items, then you must first be able to say that you are a racist. It does not mean in any way that you are a bad person, it means that you have been misinformed and now are taking control to make a change.
