About

The Racism Awareness Program (RAP) is dedicated to assisting in dismantling the systemic racism that is the foundation of America. The time is NOW for all segments of our communities to fight to end injustice and make America Equitable.

What RAP does: Workshops on Racism and Diversity:RAP customizes workshops to fit the needs of each company, organization, or institution. We help facilitate workshops in an environment in which everyone is safe to speak and express their true thoughts and feelings. Our workshops are designed to break down the barriers that have built the systemic institutions of racism, brutality, and injustice. Some of our topics include Equal or Equity, Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, and The Value of a Life. Some of our target audiences include Judges, Lawyers, Principals, Teachers, Law Enforcement, Doctors, Nurses, Financial Institutions, CEO’s, Students, Politicians and all others who have a significant effect on the lives of People of Color.
Each One Know One: Ignorance is at the root of most divisions between cultures. RAP actively strives to connect different races, religions, political persuasions, or not, and genders. People easily develop biases and stereotypes when they are unfamiliar with others unlike themselves. Just as we all strive to live, love, and understand the individuality of our family members, we must do the same with humanity to have a tolerant society. RAP connects its members with other members of a different race or culture to begin the learning and awareness process of breaking down bias barriers. Many people have not had the opportunity to meet and develop meaningful relationships with persons of color. They have never taken the time to read and teach themselves about that person's true value. They only know what they have been taught by their institutions, organizations, peers, and families/forebears: all of which may have racist hearts and perceptions based on white privilege or white supremacy.
